the long vacation is here again!!

have I found the missing a rib? hahahas...

have you thought of these questions before?
- if one day someone's gona write a book on you, what kind of a story are you or can you tell your readers?
- are you able to see where you'll be and what you'll be doing in 5 years time?

Advice to all PS majors: DON'T TAKE PS2248 - Contemporary Chinese Politics!
Kaoz, totally don't understand the questions! it looks more cheem than a level 3000 module lors! nnb...
And today's HY2229 - Nation building is crap too! I answer it like answering PS module, Singapore Foreign Policy
Haha, and the thing is that I don't think i answered all PS questions correctly. think there's somthing wrong with my style of answering, esp during exams.

Seriously, everyone shouldn't think too much.
----
planning, waiting for the time to come
its the type of feeling as if back in the NS days when a whole day of planning in the Command Post ended and everyone in the battalion HQ went back, rest in the tonner going through mentally the process of battle that will begin in a few hours time and thinking hard on what has not been done...
*referring back to 15-step battle procedures* hehs
hmms, time for contingency planning!

hmms, a moment of emo...

its been more than 1.5 years in arts club. looking back, esp my past blog posts, i'm really amazed at how arts club can change people, relationships, mentality, and many other things...

do circumstances shape a person, or a person shapes the circumstances? or both?

don't you think that all sorts of relationships are like clouds? singular clouds float around, wind push clouds to get together. along the way, some clouds float away to join other clouds. some clouds join back after some time, others float away to other parts of the world. then the clouds got heavier, and it start to turn to dark clouds. then it starts to rain, and the clouds disappears. then the sun comes out again, and clouds start to form again.
oh wells, don't be too sad, enjoy the cloud, the rain, the wind, coz no matter what, its still in this world and around us!

the difference in mindset is what sets good leaders apart from the bad ones. you know, its like the difference between Sima Yi and Zhuge Liang and Zhou Yu.

Yay! I got my own room!!
Thanks to HDB and its upgrading program for Ang Mo Kio!! Kudos to PAP! hahaha!! :D
For those who were born into a small family of 3-4 members and living in a large flat (4-5rooms) or condo, you'll never understand the joy I had when I first saw my empty room in my old 3 room flat. It marks the end of having to sleep and squeeze into the small sofa in the living room (which I've been doing since sec 1); it marks the end of having to be chased out of my sisters' or my parents' room when I take a nap in their rooms. It marked the end of the severe lack in privacy!
Thanks to the small flat, much older siblings living with me, and the strict (though at times unnecessary) discipline, I'm able to appreciate little things in life. For example, for those who got your house keys since young, you'll never understand the thrill I had in me when my parents pass me that new set of polished house keys when I was 21 years old! For those who had cable internet access at home since young, you'll never understand the excitement I had when I saw how fast the internet speed is in my army camp! For those who have rooms to yourselves since you were born, you'll never understand the sense of "sovereignty" that I had when I enter my "own" room! It is MY space from now onwards!

I was so delighted that I slept beside the window on the ledge in my new room for 4 hours today! And yeaps! having a "BIG", transparent window that allows me to look outside without obstrution has always been what I yearned for! :)
Up next, time to think of how to decorate my room! Its a small space (half of my RH room) so must really think of how to use the space optimally and maximise usage of it if possible!
I want my room to have yoda and infernal affairs posters
I want my room to have a small but good sound system
I want my room to have a long mirror on the wall
I want my room to have a move-able study desk
I want my room to have a internet access
I want my room to have to small crouch
I want my room to have a small coffee table (beside the crouch)
I want my room to have a rack to put my books (and coursepacks :x)
I want my room to have a nice ceiling and curtains
I want my room to look like a professional soho! hahaha
I want.........

Time to go IKEA!~~~
But... I need someone to help me do the interior design, maybe plus fengshui as well! Haha
Any volunteers? *wink* :P
Wooohooo! Excited!!

most commonly used term this week: "KAOZ!" haha
-----

mahjong was good! Though I lost quite a bit of money... -_-"
-----

Arts Vital finally ended! The final day of health checkup by NKF was really good n comprehensive! There were twists and turns during the process of planning but everything turns out fine! Kudos to Jianwu! :)
It has always been a dream by many batches of MCs before and even student leaders in other clubs and societies to do something really subtstantial for the welfare of the students. And I'm really glad that for the past 2 years, I'm able to see it happening in Arts :)
-----

I was re-watching "My date with a vampire II and III", 将臣 is real cool! hehs but that's not the point I wana make :P
In that show, the most commonly-used phrase is...
"你要相信会有奇迹"
Quite an interesting quote. As usual, as I always like to link stories, movies and shows to real-life incidences, I would like to make some comments about the term "miracle"...
I'm a person who believes in hardwork, and always believe that a success of something depends on 70% hardwork and 30% fortune (luck).
Do you think miracles happen if people don't believe in it or even thought about it and work towards it? Do you think that gods will answer to your prayers if no one puts in the effort somewhere somehow? Do you really think that praying helps by going to a battle with only that 30% of luck and that prayer the night before without nights of planning and thinking-through processes? Do you think that "luck" and "miracle" can happen twice, thrice, and for so many years consecutively if generations of people before you did not lay the foundations down for you? Do you know how many people before you had sacrificed their time of their lives to explore in the dark, finding their way out alone, tripped and fell, get up again, beaten and yet persisted before the light finally shines on the others after them?
Its sometimes rather disheartening to see people using "luck" to explain for sucesses, brushing away the hardwork of themselves and most importantly, others before them...
Haha, sounds like LKY talking about national education hor? :P

Haha, wa kaoz, first it was snakes spotted, then the roof tiles kena smashed into pieces by coconuts! now we have to look out for snakes, falling tiles, and coconuts! Not forgetting the lizards, cockroaches, peeping toms, thieves, packs of dogs running around Kent Ridge in the late nights, and the many many weird creatures in and around RH...

Though I'm moving out soon, but I really think the school administration, together with RH JCRC, SCRC or whichever office involved, should really do something about upgrading Raffles Hall. The food is improving, but the living conditions, sadly, is only a bit better than Old KR...

Starry, starry night.
Paint your palette blue & grey,
Look out on a summer's day,
Shadows on the hills,
Sketch trees & daffodils,
Catch breeze & winter chills,
In colors on snowy linen land.
