/ 11:00 PM life in hangzhou, china: - coke is more expensive than bus ride - spent more than 1500 rmb in 2 weeks!!! - gained 2 kg in one week! - cycled alone to West Lake - learning chinese chess and ping pong now - planning to go Shanghai in 2 weeks time! - made friends from Latvia, Germany, Vietnam, Malaysia, Korea, Japan etc etc!! - Zhejiang Uni has A LOT of Koreans!! - humbled by the mountains and waters in Hangzhou... - i'm the youngest in my group of friends here! haha!! - beer is damnnn cheap! 2rmb a bottle! - to a certain extent, i think that Hangzhou-ese are more approachable and friendly than Singaporeans - i promised that after my SEP, I'll treat exchange students, especially those from China nicer, coz they've been really nice to me! =) there was this story that i once read before: people living at the shores of West Lake never saw the great ocean before, so they assumed West Lake as the sea. Indeed, if you've never seen the ocean before, West Lake does looks like sea. guess many of us are living in our own West Lake unknowingly |

/ 6:32 PM 20 hours time and i'll be in Hangzhou! tiki asked me yesterday night if i'm scared or excited. of coz i scared la! basically i'm going there alone lo, except for a friend whom i've never met before and this is the first time i'm staying overseas for such a long time and im taking an airline that i've never heard before! :s Thanks all for the card! I'll be bringing it to to China! =) and ill miss Singapore and the people here lots to many of my friends who're doing their last semester now, all the best! hope that i can make it back on time to see you guys graduating! to the regular mahjong mates (u people know who u are!) u all wait and see, im going to the place where mahjong originates! confirm power up there! hahaha! =p more supper when im back ya! 我会在那个遥远的国度想念你们的 bye bye! 150 天后见！ 150 天后的世界会是什么样呢？ hmm... 后会有期！ |

/ 2:48 AM and i'm not too blind to know... 还真应该好好反省反省 ----- due to some family issues, i didn't go visiting for the new year, so i took a good long break at home sleeping, reading, watching tv and crunchyroll-ing haha did some self reflections too... drove my family out to buy new year stuff on tuesday night, den it dawned on me that i really didn't contribute much to the family. :/ really enjoyed driving my family out. in 3-4 years time when i have my own car, i'll defintely drive them out more! =) then i started to realise that i've been a very bad friend as well. for the past few years, i've really been neglecting my friends, sometimes even taking them for granted. :( suddenly start to realise that as my social circle grows bigger, the number of my close friends starts decreasing too! for all those who are still my close friends, thanks so much for tolerating all my nonsense :) and tan chuan bit hereby sincerely apologise... for all my friends who happened to be reading my blog, i'm really very sorry if i've offended you in one way or another, i feel bad too for any hurt that i've caused you, and i sincerely apologised if i've irritated you, be it in the past, recently or in the future. bit is real lousy when it comes to personal relations, really very lousy. and he's been trying to improve on it... bit can be really insensitive. bit can be very egoistic at times. bit is real dumb with words, really! and bit can be really really very very stubborn 五短必有一长, guess the good thing about me is that i'm open to criticisms and im willing to correct myself. so, my friends, if you have any bu-shuang in you about me, do tell me straight in the face so that i can change, and i'll really appreciate it. please don't put it in your heart or 欲言又止, coz little things will culminate into big big issues! ----- exactly 7 days more! lotsa pre-departure stuff to do!! sianss |

/ 12:43 AM 有些事，被大家讲久了，假的都会变成真的 ----- 这个世界是没有传说的。所谓的传说都是靠人一滴血，一滴汗创造出来的。 ----- a statement i read during my LEP days influenced me till this day: "只要肯做牛，就不怕没犁拖." in english, it means that if u're willing to work like a cow, then you can definitely get something in return. that's why i always say, everything in this world can be learnt, though you might not be the best in that field. so, in the meantime before you found your area of expertise, keep learning, keep exploring. even when you've found your niche area, you must try even harder to 'diversify your investment portfolio' so that you can be as all-rounded as possible. coz you'll never know when crisis strikes or market changes. which sort of explain why im not so keen in going public... ----- regarding my career path, ive sorta decided on where to go into... haha, i usually like things to be small and its more exciting to see something growing from small to big! hehs now its which industry/ which position in particular... hmms... ----- future is what i will create and where you will be! WAHAHA!! |
