/ 2:51 PM summer in hangzhou is terrible. horrible, incorrigible! its mother freaking HOT, sibei zhua ah! 34 degree celcius minus away the high humidity that singapore has, which makes you unable to sweat though you're feeling warm like mad i heard its going to rise to 40 degrees celcius in late june!!! OMGGGGGG!!!! its so jialat that in the evening, you see a HUGE RED SUN, like that of a duck egg's yolk hanging on the hilltop, right in front of your window! and at night, the blardy mosquitoes suck you dry! its fucking irritating when they start their "careless whisper" to your ears! then you start slapping your ear and find yourself bloody stupid for doing that... Grrrrr! *PIAK* (and i killed another mosquito) and my white wall is littered with the carcasses of 1001 mosquitoes, unidentified winged insects ----- oooh! i love the soundtrack for Step Up II! three six nine, the goose drank wine! muahahaha ----- was reading channelnewsasia the other day, and i think that irene ang's initiative of managing sports stars is a smart move fits the government's direction of promoting sports, allowing herself and singapore sportsmen to earn more money, most importantly it helps fulfill the unfulfilled dream of hers. |

/ 1:31 AM at 2.28pm, hangzhou city stood motionless the siren went off, flags half mast taxis and buses stopped by the side of the road everyone on the streets stood still by the pavement ----- was talking to dzd the other day, and many thoughts came to my mind after that it felt like yesterday when we were studying outside LT7A, playing a fool in RH and now, jiaxing and her are in US on NOC, I'm in China on SEP, Ghim and Khin are in Singapore on internship, my roomie ah pat in US on NOC too and suddenly, i missed the not-so-tasty RH breakfast, the early morning wake up knock on the door... and that was my year 1 sem 1 which i'll always remember, when i was still a freshmen and i'll always remember year 2 sem 2 too, for the people and the many many events, the many ups and downs, and those who stood by me... and i thought of the bench at the central forum, where we used to study and i thought of the old clubroom and i thought of the central library rooftop ahhhh!! emo again! :( ----- oooh!! i must write this down in my blog so that i can remember it forever!! i know how to compose song lyrics alreadyyyy!!! YEAHHH!!! *one of these days, i might be the s'pore version of wu ke qun or fang wen shan!* muahahahaha!! |

/ 11:00 PM you really gotta admire the chinese government websites in singapore were saying that the chinese authorities are claiming that "time is not ripe" for foreign rescuers and that they "politely declined" offers of rescuers from japan... in short, reports that didn't put chinese government in very good light, suggesting an attitude of "closing doors" however, in my view, i was really damn impressed by how the chinese government handle the crisis. immediately after the earthquake happened, Premier Wen Jia Bao made his way to Sichuan Province. Within a day, nearly the whole country was activated in helping with the relieve efforts. private taxis, buses, coaches were all activated to send resources and soldiers to affected areas. chinese everywhere in the country are donating, almost immediately after the disaster. companies are sending milk, tents, biscuits to Sichuan. in less than 2 days' time, soldiers, food, supplies, police were sent to Sichuan province. and mind you, its a mobilisation of more than 100000 soldiers. this was the rate of mobilisation in China. and the olympics is still ongoing, with no hint of delaying this is how big china is, something happened in the west, the east will be there to provide the necessary resources; something went wrong in the south, the north will be sending help and this is ability the chinese government and its people, so much had happened in just a barely half a year, but China is still as stable as it is even after massive snow storm, tibet riots... |

/ 6:59 PM when the earth shakes... hello everyone, to those who care, thank you! i'm still alive, don't worry! :) the earthquake happened in sichuan in the west, im in zhejiang in the east, more than 1000km away from the epicentre. wah thank god manz, i was thinking of making a trip there some time soon, luckily school restarted, heng ah! and i thought it was some small quake, around 2-3pm, i was talking to my friend in Xi'an and she was telling me that she her room is shaking and she's going to be evacuated. and i was like, "wah, earthquake ah?! so exciting!!" didn't expect it to be 7.9 on richter scale and killed more than 10,000 people, with 37 tourists inside! :( hope that the 2,000 tourists that are still missing could be found and be contacted soon, perhaps a lot of them were backpackers who were alone touring sichuan province |

/ 12:26 AM i was exercising this evening and i thought to myself the world is so big, i should really go out and take a look around! and so, i planned for the coming ten years... by 26, i should have travelled round SEA by 28, i should have visited mongolia (i wana go on horse riding on the mongolian plains!) by 30. i should have been to south america by 32 i wana go to Russia or Eastern Europe by 35 hopefully i'll have enough money to visit turkey and middle east all with a backpack on my back! woots! wonder who'll be with me to 浪迹天涯 then hmm... |
